At Elevated Safety Experts, we bring together architecture, construction, and engineering to deliver a higher standard of exterior elevated element (EEE) inspections. Founded by a licensed architect, a California general contractor, and a licensed civil engineer, our team has over 50 years of combined experience assessing, designing, and building residential structures throughout the Western United States.
We specialize in compliance inspections for California Senate Bills 721 and 326, which require routine evaluations of balconies, decks, walkways, and other elevated elements in multifamily residential properties. With deep knowledge of structural systems, design intent, and building performance, we help HOAs, property managers, and apartment owners meet regulatory requirements with confidence and clarity.

Will Lopes

Will Lopes is a veteran general contractor based in Northern California with over 25 years of experience managing and constructing residential and commercial projects throughout the Bay Area. His expertise spans framing, exterior cladding, waterproofing, and structural repair, enabling him to quickly identify construction defects and safety issues in the field. Will co-develops the firm’s inspection standards alongside Ray and conducts the majority of the hands-on inspections. His practical construction knowledge and real-world experience help ensure that inspection findings are actionable and focused on effective remediation that meets safety and code requirements.

Ray Willett AIA, LEED AP
California Licensed Architect, Co-Founder
Ray Willett is a licensed architect with over three decades of experience in California, focusing on residential and commercial design as well as building performance consulting. His portfolio includes affordable housing, multi-family residential developments, and custom homes. Ray specializes in building envelope design, material durability, and code compliance, with a particular emphasis on assessing and preserving architectural integrity while ensuring structural safety. He leads the development of inspection standards and performs detailed, on-site evaluations of exterior elevated elements to ensure compliance with SB 721 and SB 326. Ray’s deep knowledge of California building codes and regional environmental challenges makes him an invaluable asset to the team.

Colorado Licensed Engineer, Co-Founder
Based in Colorado, Dillon Willett is a licensed civil engineer with extensive experience in public infrastructure, structural assessments, and capital planning. He has worked on a variety of municipal and regional infrastructure projects, specializing in analyzing structural systems and lifecycle performance. Dillon provides remote quality control and technical review to ensure that inspections and reports meet professional and regulatory standards. He also leads business development, website management, and administrative functions to help the firm grow and operate efficiently. His strong background in engineering and project management brings rigor and clarity to every aspect of the company’s work.
